Who the service is for and what we offer
We support:
- children and young people aged 0 to 19 years
- young people aged 25 and under, if they have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
You can contact us if the child or young person lives in Cumberland or Eden. Support may look slightly different for families in Eden, but we will help you to get to the right people.
We are an early intervention service. This means we get involved before things get too difficult or reach crisis point.
If your situation is more serious or complex, we can help you find the right professionals.
When a professional contacts us (such as a teacher, health visitor, or social worker) we can support their work and offer a one-time conversation to think together about neurodiversity, developmental trauma, or where to direct their concerns.
If a young person, parent, carer or trusted adult contacts us directly, we will speak or communicate by e-mail with them to understand their concerns and what unmet needs they would like support with.
What we offer
We want to be clear about what we can and cannot do.
Our team includes people with a strong understanding of neurodivergence and emotional wellbeing — often from their own lives and from longstanding work with children and families.
We know that families may have had difficult experiences trying to get advice and guidance. We will always try to guide you to the most suitable support. Sometimes this will be another service if they are better placed to help.
