Parent and Carer Champions

Whitehaven - Parent and Carer Champions

Are you interested in being part of our Family Hubs Cumberland Family Panel? We are recruiting local residents who use our services currently or may do in the future to make sure that Family Hubs are designed to meet the needs of our local community.

The purpose of the Cumberland Family panels is to:

  • Join monthly meetings to play a key role in helping to develop the Family Hub services in Whitehaven.
  • Enable the voice of local parents/carers including those whose voices are seldom heard
  • Ensure that the panel is representative of Whitehaven and nearby residents who have a wide range of lived experience

We are seeking varied representation from different groups and areas across Whitehaven and the surrounding area. The Parent/Carer Champions will be a group of people with a wide range of lived experience.

We are looking for parents and carers who are willing to be involved in this exciting new project, which aims to empower families to help create a community that looks after each other with support from services that are fully parent and carer centered.

We are looking for parents and carers who are committed to making real changes in ensuring families in the Whitehaven area can get the support they need when they need it.

Parent/Carer Champions will be invited to actively participate and be willing to work together with other parent and carers, along with a range of specific professional speakers from various services, to contribute to shaping the local service design, planning, and delivery.
