Cumberland Youth Voice aims to help:

  • promote your voice and be heard
  • represent your views and campaign on the issues that matter to you
  • you understand your rights and the choices available to you

Cumberland Council supports a number of Participation and Engagement groups that children and young people can get involved in, to make sure:

  • our services are relevant, effective and sustainable
  • everyone can access and contribute to them

Join one of our groups

The Cumberland Youth Voice Participation and Engagement groups meet fortnightly in both the Carlisle and West areas.

Anyone interested in joining one of the groups can contact us by email.

Cumberland Youth Voice, currently on Instagram and Facebook, aims to:

  • share the work of young people in a variety of active participation groups
  • help demonstrate the work they do in influencing the decisions of the council and wider community
  • promote the support on offer such as careers advice and guidance, advice around staying safe
  • share relevant information such as health campaigns or access grants for young people
