Parent and Carer Panel
We need the help of local parents and carers who use our children's services currently, or may do in the future, to make sure that Family Hubs are designed to meet the needs of our local community.
The purpose of the Parent and Carer Panel is to:
- ensure local parents and carers play a key role in designing and continuously improving family services
- ensure Family Hubs are designed for inclusion and meet the needs of the diverse communities that live in Cumberland
We want the panel to be representative of a range of parents and carers from all walks of life and backgrounds.
What's involved
As a member of the Parent and Carer Panel, you will:
- help shape how services for families are delivered
- be a valued part of the Family Hubs development
- meet new people in your community
Panel meetings
Meetings will be agreed at a time and place that works best for the members of the group.
The meetings are likely to be at least every 6 weeks for up to 2 hours.
Meetings will be held face to face, online or both to make sure everyone can participate.
Support
We will support you with any accessibility requirements you may have, to enable you to fully participate in meetings or training.
After you apply
If you are keen to join the group, we will send you an expression of interest form.
Once we receive your completed expression of interest form, we will contact you to arrange an initial telephone call.
Please be aware that submitting an expression of interest form does not guarantee you will be selected to be on the panel.
